The role
A hands-on Technical Lead for the design, development, enhancement and modernisation of the company's enterprise software products. You will lead engineers through architecture, design, implementation, testing and release, stay close enough to the code to solve hard problems, and help hire and grow the team, working closely with the R&D Manager. 2-3 openings.
What you will do
- Lead and mentor a product engineering team, setting high standards of quality and ownership
- Own technical design and delivery of new features, enhancements and modernisation across existing products
- Guide the full SSDLC: solution design, estimation, implementation, testing, release readiness and production support
- Improve the architecture, scalability, security, performance and maintainability of existing applications
- Do architecture and code reviews and contribute hands-on to critical components
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause fixes
- Improve development practices, automated testing, CI/CD and code quality
- Take part in hiring, technical interviews and team development
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
- 6+ years of hands-on development of enterprise or cloud-based software products
- 2+ years as a technical lead, mentoring developers and leading delivery
- Strong Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate / JPA and REST APIs
- Strong front end with Angular or React, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML and CSS
- SQL and relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Oracle)
- Automated testing, code quality, CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
- Cloud and application modernisation exposure is a plus
